<p>Does putting a certain academic interest in my "future plans" for Duke affect my chance of getting in? If I am interested in the classics (latin) and math but am seriously considering music performance (piano) as well as a pre-med/biology approach, what would look best to them?</p>

<p>This was addressed two or three threads below. Basically, be genuine in the application. From what I understand, what you put as a major doesn’t affect your chances of admission.</p>

<p>^Well I think it kind of does, like if you say you want to major in Bio and you have a lot of science and Bio research internships that should help, while having research in Bio won’t really mean as much if you are applying as a Classics major</p>
