So after this quarter I think there's a good chance i'll be placed on academic probation and I have a couple questions about it.

Will I still get financial aid for next quarter? Will a letter be sent home or phone call be made?

Fed direct unsub stafford loan btw

you need to go and speak with an adviser. try to speak with the financial aid office and discuss this issue with them in order to get more accurate details about it. I think that lons are not subject to any change. but grants are.

good luck

I don’t know for sure, but I am pretty close to 100% certain that the UW is not allowed to send a letter or speak to anyone about your grades but you (unless you gave them written permission saying otherwise). UW is subject to a privacy act called FERPA that is very strict about confidentiality of student info. I work in a department at UW that deals with confidential info, and I am not allowed to give details to even someone’s wife/husband, so your family probably won’t find out unless/until you tell them.

^
Exactly what Sarsarhanhan said. I think you can change the option on MyUW for who has access to your info.
