Academic Probation

Okay, so I was put on academic probation for incomplete credits before ending my first semester. I went ahead and wrote my appeal. The situation is, I decided to drop my Spring 2013 classes in case my appeal wasn't approved and therefore, wouldn't end up oweing money for the classes I attended(I cant afford to be in debt, I get money from no one except fin aid). By the time my appeal was approved and I recieved the decision, the semester had already begun. I go to CSU Dominguez Hills and we are allowed to miss a semester with no questions asked so thats what I did. My question is, will my appeal still count and will I get my financial aid for the following semester (Fall 2013)? I have asked the school and recieved different answers. If anyone can give me a better answer I'd really appreciate it.

The school is the best place to get the answer, but if your appeal has already been approved it would be hard for the school to do a 180.

financial aid appeals are completely at the discretion of each school. Only your school can answer your question.

If you have any federal direct loans, they will go into repayment before the fall (but will go back into deferral once you start back at school at least half time). Make sure you are on top of that as if you are delinquent on federal loans you will not be eligible for federal aid.
