Academic Probation

My freshman year, I did not do well. First semester I got a 1.85 gpa and the same second semester. After the first semester I got put under freshman warning. Second semester I was filed under academic probation. So at that point my gpa was 1.85. First semester of Sophomore year I got a 3.0 which brought my gpa up to a 2.88 and got taken off academic probation. I know this semester (second semester of sophomore year) I did not do well. I calculated my gpa for this semester and it will be under a 2.0. However, my cumulative is still above a 2.0. Will this semester cause me to be dismissed from the school?

No. Not likely

No you’re fine. Just make sure to do well each semester so that you don’t have to keep putting yourself through all of this stress every time.

let me put it this way…youre going to a community college then will work at mcdonalds all your life! lol

No, you won’t be dismissed from the school. On the other hand, at some point you need to ask yourself where all of this is headed. You need to focus and keep up your grades; otherwise you might eventually be dismissed. Good luck! Help me out? :wink: <a href=“Should I transfer? - College Search & Selection - College Confidential Forums”>Should I transfer? - College Search & Selection - College Confidential Forums;
