Academic Probation?

What should I do if I'm on academic probation for one of NYU's scholars programs? I'm a sophomore, so I actually made it through a whole year (which also means that I'm completely capable of getting the grades, or even slightly beyond).

Are there any easy A classes? (Which won't help me for this semester anyhow.) I'm interested in taking art, but how are those courses graded? But besides that, I'm taking my major's required courses right now.

I apologize in advance if I offend anyone because my post is so grade-oriented.

Should I speak to an advisor (I tried, but what is there to do about it?)? Upperclassmen?

It's hard to answer that question if you don't say why you were on academic probation in the first place.

You think taking art is going to give you an easy A? Do you mean art history or studio art classes?

I don't have any clue what an easy A is at NYU

If you're just looking for an easy A without resolving any of your underlying problems, then take a music lession class at Steinhardt. 2 or 4 credits, super easy.
