Hi I'm currently on my summer vacation and just finished my junior year of high school. I figured this was the best time to retake some courses from my sophmore year that I've earned c's in using BYU online courses. Well I just learned that many schools frown upon the use of academic renewal and from what I've read what I plan on doing sounds very similar to academic renewal. Can anyone shed any light on this? In my sophmore and junior year I had struggled with family problems in my household and I was wondering if that could be taken into consideration. My GPA is still somewhat high for my junior and sophmore year combined and I only wish to improve myself as I feel theses grades don't truly reflect me as a student. If it matters I'm located in California and the schools I plan on applying to are (with the first five being top choices) UCLA, UCB, Cornell, USC, Cal Poly SLO, Cal State LB, UCSB, Georgia Tech, and Virginia Tech. Thank you all in advance!

Your google must be broken. I entered U California Academic Renewal Policy and got this.
