Does academic renewal take off all grades with a ‘D’ or lower, or only transferable classes? I’m planning on transferring to a UC, is it better to just repeat the course with a better grade, or use academic renewal? Do UC’s look at grades that aren’t transferable and don’t reflect your UC GPA?

Hey man, I’ve applied academic renewal to transcripts from two community colleges. Each community college has their own way of doing AR. One of the schools would wipe out up to 2 semesters good grades and bad if your overall GPA for that semester was below a 2.0 The other community college let me take out all grades that were D or lower for 2 semesters. In my case I was in the exact situation you are in with choosing to repeat or use AR, I went with AR because it was faster and I don’t have extra time to spend taking classes over if I can help it.
