Any thoughts on how Davidson competes in Anthropology and Biology with top LACs like Swarthmore and Williams?

I'm don't know much about Davidson's anthropology department, but I'm pretty sure it's strong in ancient American culture. Its biology program is easily on par with SAW. Davidson has a med school placement rate in the high 80s, and 90% of their students get into their first choice grad school. The biology program is somewhat of a mix. The psychology department at Davidson is very strong, so neurobiology is both popular and rigorous. Similarly, environmental science is an area of stregth. Herpetology is very strong in particular, but I'm not sure if you're interested in that. I think Davidson's affiliated with the School of Field Studies, so there's fieldwork opportunities in Baja CA, Costa Rica, Australia, Kenya, etc. Davidson also recently established an ecological reserve on campus, which is awesome. Davidson also has a partnership with the Duke Marine Lab.
