Academic Scholarships

<p>Hey, I was wondering how common non-need based scholarships are, and some of the different qualifications for them. Have you heard of students getting a full-ride (or a big %)? Does it effect your chances if you are from out of state???</p>

<p>Wash U has a REALLY good section on their admissions website with ALL the info about scholarships. Go look at it. And yeah, there are many full and half tuition scholarships available (well, not hundreds, but they are there)</p>

<p>pamplemoose - WashU offers a large number of merit scholarships. These can range from a few thousand dollars to full tuition plus a stipend. Additional awards are also available, so indeed it is possible to get either a free ride or close to one. Just remember that the competition is intense and most of the candidates have very impresive credentials.
