Academic suspension appeal letter feedback

Regardless, OP needs a writing to document her request.

OP is NOT communicating with an appeals committee at this stage. She is communicating with her advisor.

@thumper1 You are a stage or two ahead of the process. You certainly mean well, but one step at a time.

Of course I read what the OP wrote. As did @thumper1. There are several ways to approach this. The one who is not understanding this is not us. Please stop. Leaves one to wonder if next we might hear about some cousins who have written appeal lettersā€¦
If the OP is smart, and if they return, they will follow the advice in the first few posts. And #humperā€™s posts are both spot on. The OP needs help with his/her writing. There are plenty of people (including well meaning people here) who would volunteer to help. But as @thumper1 said, they read lots of requests, so the letters need to be well written but clear and to the point. And the OP needs to be the one to initiate the process to request a face to face meeting, if that is an option.

I am not at stage two of any process.

What Iā€™m saying isā€¦this student needs to find out HIS schoolā€™s process for appealing an academic suspension. All schools have this process in place.

Then the student needs to follow THAT process.

If the school requests emails or calls to set up appointments, then the student is spinning his wheels writing a letter at all.

If the school requires a letter, then the letter needs to contain all of the necessary information for the readers to consider.

They are not going to make a phone call to set up a meeting with this student UNLESS that is clearly in the process. If that is the caseā€¦the process might read ā€œplease email or call us with some times or dates to set up a meetings to discuss this.ā€

Thatā€™s certainly not what this student letter in the OP implies.

MODERATORā€™S NOTE:
Letā€™s not assume facts not in evidence. Nowhere did I read that the OP is requesting a meeting. Additionally, this site is not a debate society, so no need to defend your position to the death with other posts - state your case and step back.

Regardless, at my school, there is a procedure. One can request a meeting all one wants, but it wonā€™t happen, because thatā€™s not the procedure.

Additionally, if a post ā€œdisappears,ā€ it was not by magic; I had a reason for deleting. Therefore, donā€™t reference posts Iā€™ve deleted.

I completely disagree. The OPā€™s writing sample sounded like it was written in one language, then put into Google translate.

If someone produces that kind of writing and asks for opinions, it would be a disservice to be less than honest. @thumper1 was SPOT on.

To the college, if you were in a car accident, you should have contacted the dean of students and let them know you were having issues. They would have talked to you about withdrawing from a class and getting accommodations if necessary. They could also discuss if you have too much on your plate between school/work.
You didnā€™t do that. Why? You didnā€™t know?
