Academic suspension question

I'm applying to a bunch of colleges as a transfer student. I was placed on "Academic Suspension" my freshmen year of college for earning a 0.9 GPA. Acadmic Suspension only limited the amount of credits I could take (less than 12, part time) and would lead to expulsion unless my GPA met the standards.

Now, on applications does this count as a yes for "Suspension or disiplinary action" questions? At the SUNY colleges I am applying to it does not, they define suspension as "a sanction imposed for disciplinary reasons that result in a student leaving school for a fixed time period." Do other colleges have the same definition of suspension and disiplinary action?

Your best bet would be to carefully read each applications as some do ask if your were ever placed on academic probation, suspension or if you were dismissed for academic reasons. In that case you would have to answer yes

Be aware that when the school gets your official transcript, it may indicate on the transcript that you were placed on probation or dismissed.
