That, the fact that that philosophy is applied outside of the curriculum, the kind of people that philosophy draws, and, as a result, the unique environment here.</p>
<p>unique is a very good word for some people around here.</p>
<p>Brown students are generally committed to real world experiences -not just academics, less outdoorsy than Dartmouth, less urban than Columbia, probably less competivie, ambitious and "entitled" than HYP. They expect to enjoy college and be involved in the campus community. They don't like to be told what to do-self-starters who can define their own goals and think for themselves.</p>
