Academically Challenging, Socially Chilled

do you know of any schools that fit the vibe that are similar to Tulane in admissions difficulty?

I know a senior who is quite highly intelligent, is one of 7 soon to be named valedictorians, got 800 on math SAT, and I think totalled 2300 on SAT, who has her fingers crossed that she will be accepted to Rice U.

Is that supposed to scare me, or is it a testament to some aspect of the Rice student body?

REED COLLEGE. Grades aren't disclosed unless students request them! :) I'm like, totally applying.

cool guys, it seems to me from your suggestions and my own research, that most of the schools that fit my description are private schools in the mid west, south, and pacific north west. With a few others scattered among the schools in the northeast and SoCal. Is this an accurate statement? thanks for all the great suggestions so far.

Rice and Bowdoin

Washington and Lee, Richmond

to bump or not to bump?
