Academically, is it better to be focused on a subject of "well rounded"?

I am currently taking Multivariable Calculus at the local college, AP Stat, Physics C w/a mandatory lab and plan on majoring in something science related. (and AP French Language) Currently, I am signed up for Honors English 4, but I want to switch into AP Lit because i don't want to have any regrets as to why I didn't get into a certain college like Harvard. I want to know that I gave it my all, but of course, I've heard that senior year, you can't really help yourself anymore, only hurt it.
Does anyone know if colleges like seeing a stacked schedule for a certain topic (so that not taking AP Lit wouldn't hurt me) or would not taking it hurt my chances?
I am currently ranked in the top 10, with a pretty good resumee, but most of the people above me are very similar academically.

While it's good to see a focus in your course selection, English is very important, and AP English lit is a very standard exam for those who apply to top colleges. I'd recommend taking AP lit.
