Academics Rutgers vs. TCNJ Question

Hello, I wanted some opinion on Rutgers vs. TCNJ. I was wondering what school would be harder to earn a higher GPA. I plan on studying pre-med and my major would be a technical major such as engineering. At Rutgers, there are a lot of Asians and foreigners that add on to the competition. At TCNJ, admissions standards are significantly higher and their Biology program is known to be pretty tough. Just to let you guys know, many stats from high school are 1400 SAT m+cr (780 M and 620 CR) and top 10% from a public school. Thanks.

as far as competition goes, it will be at any college, whether there are foreigners or not. if you plan on majoring in engineering, rutgers would definitely have more resources, opportunities, and available fields to study within engineering. but if you were to major in bio they would probably be equivalent. also, factor in what school you would enjoy more. you have to be happy if you want to be successful :)

Generally, all Biology and engineering programs are going to be pretty tough. You learn the material, or you don’t do well, that’s it. The competition will be around the same, especially for a competitive area like medical school applicants.

Do take into consideration where you will actually learn the material as well, because even if a school is easier in terms of getting a high GPA, you’ll still have to take the standardized MCATs. If you are less prepared by your courses/professors, you’ll either make it up by studying extra or do worse in comparison.
