What are thoughts about this school? How do they compare to other schools acting wise?

academy of arts university in san francisco or american academy of dramatic arts in LA/NY?

academy of arts university, to my knowledge, only has a screen acting degree, and personally, I would stay far far away. thats just my plain opinion. I have heard it is a scam, but that’s just what I’ve heard and what I’ve observed from the tv commercials. I live in san francisco so I hear a lot about it. I’m sure there are plenty of students who are very happy there and have been successful (with acting?..I have no idea).
but yeah, if you want to study acting in college, I would suggest not coming to san francisco, unless you’re going to sf state, I suppose. but those budget cuts…argh.

if you were referring to the american academy, its been around for a long time and its a two year conservatory experience. it has a cut system and an optional third year. no degree. I know more about this one, but I’m pretty sure you were referring to the above.

Yeah I was actually referring to the first one. The only reason I’d be interested in it is because I’d like a more film/television degree rather than a BFA theatre acting. Plus the fact it being in California helps a lot since that’s where I want to live. I mean I know there’s USC and UCLA but I don’t know they just didn’t seem right for me.
