Acc Champs!

the tv announcers said something like the refs were probably looking for a foul (because fouls always happen in these situations) and consequently missed the call

^and the tv announcers said the flagrant foul against Gerald Henderson was a bad call. ;)

Looks like Hansbrough and Lawson are coming back next year! Brandan Wright is still undecided but regardless, UNC should be a real threat next year. There was some kind of basketball banquet today and Hansbrough and Lawson announced their decision to stay. I especially liked this part:

"After thinking about things, talking to my parents, I think it would be best if I took my skills to the NBA. I'm sorry," Lawson said.

Dead silence.

"I'm just playing -- I'll be back next year," Lawson quipped, drawing cheers from the crowd of about 1,000.

In next years NCAA tourney, the Charlotte region will feature 1st and 2nd round games in Raleigh, NC and sweet 16 and elite 8 games in Charlotte, NC before the final four in Texas. Not to get ahead of ourselves, but if UNC takes care of buisness in the regular season, they may have a road to the final four that does not leave North Carolina!

Can't wait for next year...

THANKS for the update cubsfan!! That is wonderful news.

I'm working on those Texas Final Four tickets already. I think it is so great that so many tournament games are in NC...I hope the stands are full of UNC students for the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games!

according to SI, carolina is the projected #1 team for next season...and thats even without brandan wright.
