ACC credit transfer to UT

So I will be a freshman at ACC this fall semester and will be trying to transfer to UT for my sophomore year. UT says they require 30 credits before you’re eligible to transfer, however, I scored a 3 on my AP Statistics test granting me 3 credits at ACC. I’m just wondering if those 3 credits do or don’t count towards the 30 credits to transfer because I would like to take less classes if possible to not be overloaded…

I think general Ed classes are cheaper and easier at ACC. Perhaps you should take 15 credits per semester even if you end with 33 transfer credits. Use ratemyprofessor or similar to get the best sections.

UT Austin accepts credit-by-exam as transfer credit if it is posted to your A.C.C. transcript as a normally transferable course. (See www.utexas.edu/student/admissions/ate/problems/cbe.html.) However, there is a common problem with A.C.C. transcripts: credit-by-exam is posted only on hardcopy transcripts and does not appear on electronic transcripts. To ensure UT sees your credit-by-exam, be certain to submit a hardcopy transcript.
