Accelerated/Combined BS/MD degree/6-8 year Medical Programs...help

Whatever you wish to call them. I am a complete failure with search engines and am currently desperate to find a school that offers this particular program, in or very close to Atlanta. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

:)

thanks for your help :) but i was sorta asking about schools of that sort in, or very close, to Atlanta :p

I don't think there are any schools which offer BA/MD programs near Atlanta. The only ones that are sorta close are: Meharry/TSU and Meharry/Fisk - both of which are in Tennesee.

This website lists universities that offer the BA/MD program. I'm not sure how up-to-date it is but it's a good starting place.

you're from canada i see. are you at all familiar with the program in nova scotia?

I actually wasn't aware that Canada had a combined program. Do you know which university offers the program? I'll try looking it up on the internet later on today.

Thanks for letting me know about the program! My goal is to get into a combined program and it would be easier for me to study in Canada so I'll have to look into it as a possible university to apply to.

Hell, I may even apply...woudln't hurt to try. (that is, after i take my SAT's over several times) It would be wonderful if I could attend a school up there instead as I have a lot of respect for the country and very little for my own, but since policies on international students varies greatly, I may face some dissapointment. But you never know, I suppose!

I'm sorry, I can't find the program you're referring to. What is it called?

On a similar point, if you are interested in studying medicine and want to complete it faster than the traditional 8 years, some universities/medical schools in Canada let you apply to medical school after completing the pre-med courses, but without a bachelors degree. A friend of my family spent 2 years doing the pre-med courses, then applied to and attended medical school. I'm pretty sure she doesn't have a bachelor's degree.

programs that high school students can enter in?

One that is closer to atlanta is UAB. Great med school. I think they take 10 (?)or so, and is extremely hard to get in (I, along with some other of my friends got rejected). You can give that a try.

Hello i was wondering can someone please tell me briefly what the medicla program at the university of michigan is like and also if the university of cincinnati has a direct medical program?

Also if anyone could please e-mail me a list of all the 6 year medical programs that you guys know of! highly appreciated
