Accelerated/Combined Med Programs

Hey, I'm a High School Junior and I want to become a surgeon more than anything. I've been looking at a few 7-8 year med programs and I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could give me some feedback of what my chances are.

My goal is to get into the 7-year program at GW, but I'm also going to apply to the Northwesten, Boston U, Tufts, and Rutgers-UMDNJ ones. Here's my transcript as of right now:

THANK YOU!

The admit rate forGW combined BA /med is very low. <5%.

^as is the case for most bs/md programs.

so, do I have a maybe, or is it a ‘not gonna happen ever’ thing?

Sorry, probably not. They get about 700 apps for about 25 spots.

Btw, don 't bother taking both math 1and2 SATIIs. Most schools don’t want to see that. Schools that ask for 3 subject tests want them in different subjects.

Here’s the deal: I can’t give you an adequate chance because I don’t know your final SAT score or your weighted GPA. Right NOW though, you can’t even apply for some programs because you don’t have the minimum SAT score needed to apply (Rutgers-UMDNJ for example). Try looking around the Multiple Degree Programs sub-forum… that is pretty much devoted to the medical programs.
