Hey guys!

I have a degree from Baruch College in Finance and I am interested in changing fields. I want to go into computer engineering as I'm interested in technology and computer hardware.

I was told that some colleges have accelerated engineering graduate programs that allows you to only take the relevant major undergraduate courses and go straight into the graduate program (assuming you did well in the undergrad major courses).

I'm curious if there is a school in NYC that offers such program? I googled online and I found Boston University, Stony Brook, and Binghamton. Those schools would require me to dorm and relocate, which I don't mind, but if there is one in NYC, that would be much preferable. Also a cheap one would be nice.

Also I'm interested in your opinions on the above schools. One of the things that I hope to do in the future is perhaps help with making new computer technologies, something along that line... Will those schools give me the opportunity to get into a role like that?

What do computer engineering students typically do outside of academia? what kind of internships or opportunities do they pursue?

thanks in advance guys
