Does Anybody know if it is possible to apply to an accelerated med program such as a 6 year or 7 year program AFTER you have alrealdy started college? For example if i have alrealdy been a college freshmen for a semester, is it then possible for me to apply to an accelerated program? or is that option only available to graduating high-school students?

that would be a no. However you can apply to the 8 year program after you started college like the Boston one and TUFts. But i think you must be in that undergrad school.

I know certain schools have an option to guarantee admission into the med school after the 2nd year of college. I believe that's what madame bovary was speaking about.

that would be your best at this point.

loyola chicago has that option where after you apply for med school to the stritch school of medicine and if you get accepted during your sophomore year you are gauranteed a spot once you graduate from undergrad to go into the med school

There are several undergraduate/affiliated medical schools that have an Early Acceptance program available to college students. Boston College/Tufts Medical school is one.

Usually students apply during their sophomore year after completing the pre-med requirements. If accepted, students finish their last two years of university, and then enter medical school. There are often some requirements that must be fulfilled in order to keep the spot in medical school (e.g. maintaining a certain GPA, taking the MCAT, etc.)
