My DD recently graduated with her Bachelor’s in Science in Nutrition. She wants to become a Nurse. I’ve seen a few posts about Accelerated Nursing programs. Any suggestions in applying for this type of program?
These programs can be just as competitive (sometimes even more so) for entry as regular (straight from high school) direct entry BSN programs. However, more and more schools seem to be offering such programs. Pennsylvania, with the greatest number of direct entry BSN programs in the country, now has many accelerated programs, some of which are probably not too hard to get into. For the lowest cost, you will probably want to check out programs offered by your in-state public universities, as financial aid other than loans is usually not available for accelerated programs.
Please be very suspicious of any for-profit programs.
