From INTERESTEDIU's post on 12/11----"I got accepted today. I applied undecided and had an 1860 on my SAT and a 3.2 UW and a 3.8 W. I'm really shocked/happy I got in. " This explains his acceptance, esp if he is oos. Seems to me that PSU is really pulling in the oos people early for the $$$ tuition. My oos friend's son was accepted that week too with similar stats, although it is not his first choice.

PSU does not look at UW GPA, only the weighted.

Not completely true. Some high schools do not weight their honors or AP courses, so PSU looks at the unweighted GPA when determining admission. This is a disadvantage for some students, since PSU makes no formal attempt to re-evaluate the GPA on a weighted basis. (We were told this by admissions when S applied three years ago.)

my app status said what NYGiants31191's said but then today it says:
"Your application is complete, all of your required materials are here, and we are reviewing your credentials. A decision will be available here as soon as one is made."
does this mean that i should get a decision in a couple of days/weeks?

piano09 - most people have now gotten that new status message. I think it's just a standard thing, and doesn't seem to have anything to do with how close they are to making a decision.

Interested Iu- Cograts on getting in to Up. We are still waiting. Son is getting very nervous. His Gpa w was a 90.5% which we think is a 3.5 but not sure. His SATs were 1860's. Lots of colege and honors classes. Good Ec and work. His major is Crime, law and justice in Liberal Arts school. What is your major? any other Crime Law and justice majors out there? Any info would be great. It would be the ultimate Christmas present for son to hear and get into Up. Once again best of luck to all who heard and were accepted.
