Acceptance and Rejection Letters!

Basically, I am a paranoid and restless senior awaiting these decision letters.
I would really like to know from those who are already in college or have gotten in early, how the letters come for each of my schools. Like is the acceptance letter always a huge envelope, etc.

I'm sure other people will like to know for their schools as well, so just feel free to add. Anyway these are my schools:

Macalester
Kenyon
Reed
Bates
Wesleyan
Williams
Skidmore
Union
Carleton

Carleton's will come in a large envelope. Macalester's is in a midsize envelope, but it says "Yes" on the front. You may want to check last year's threads in each college's forum to find out more.

glad that you're applying to Reed :)
I was accepted ED. the letter they sent me arrived in 3 days via DHL.
big envelope. two folders inside one for financial aid and the other acceptance letter with the enrollment form.
my favorite part? the confetti inside, they're so freaking awesome.

you also get an email, with a short flash movie that makes you feel special inside. it was a nice touch

skidmore will be a big (folder-sized) white envelope, with, surprise, a black folder that says "yes!" on the front. that is, if they haven't changed it in the past two years. good luck!

Funny to be reading this....decades ago, when I was applying to schools, my acceptance envelope actually had a smilely face on it....I always wondered if the rejections had a sad face.

They had smiley faces decades ago? Oh, the misinformation the internet spreads..

Bowler Hat -- Smileys originated in the early 1960s.

wesleyan sends a large, folder sized white envelope with a red folder inside

I was wondering, for schools like Brown and Stanford, do acceptance/rejection letters come on March 31st or April 1st?
