I'm currently a senior in highschool and i'm thinking about applying to UVA. My GPA isn't too hot.... i have a 3.2. Right now i am in 3 AP classes; AP Euro, AP Psych, and AP English. The only reason i think i may have a chance is because my mom went to UVA along with my aunt and uncle. My grandfather worked for a program there and my step-grandmother currently works there. Does anyone know if legacy is a big deal there or would i be wasting my time? Thanks! :)

Legacy is a big deal there, but your GPA is 3.2. 98% of admitted students have a GPA of at least 3.25, and 88% have at least 3.75; it’s very unlikely that the legacy boost will overcome that.
