Acceptance Chance?

I'm a junior right now and this is my first choice school planning on going to UCONN's agriculture program.

My sister is attending UCONN right now and my father is an alumni, but I don't know how much value legacy has.

My cumulative GPA is a 3.33. I'm at the beginning of my third quarter so I'm hoping to pump that up a bit. I have taken a pretty good course load (imo) as well. Notable classes I have under my belt:

Sophomore Year:
-B in AP Bio with a 5 on the AP test and a B for ECE.
Junior Year:
-B in AP Comp (yet to take the test)
-C in AP US History (same as above)
Planned for senior year:
-AP Environmental Science
-AP English Language and Literature

-I have been a varsity rower since sophomore year, which has two seasons, so I currently have 3 varsity letters (I don't know how valuable this is). I'm expecting to continue this trend so I'll hopefully end up with 6 letters. I also have a pretty good chance of being elected captain of the team (the position is voted on by the team, but the coach also has a pretty big say).
-I work a summer job on a tobacco farm (which I hope will make my application more desirable for the agriculture program).
-I've been a part of my schools INTERACT program, which is a community service club for my school.

My 1600 SAT score was an 1130. I am, however, in a Princeton Review program to hopefully boost that a bit. I am also planning on taking the ACT's which I hope to do better in.

hey! I applied to UConn, and I have a 4.0 weighted gpa and a 1700 sat score, so ill let you know if I get accepted because we have similar stats, also I am out of state so you might have a better chance if you are instate. I am applying to the biology program

Your workload definitely sounds good, and so do your extracurriculars. I’m not sure how competitive the agriculture major is as far as admissions go, but you are on a good track. The only suggestion I have would be to try to bump up your grades a teeny bit if possible, just to be safe. As for your SATs, you still have a lot of time to improve them so keep working on that!

Just keep on doing your absolute best and hopefully it will be in accordance with UConn’s standards (:
