Acceptance chance

Hey, I've been looking at some of the threads posted about admissions chances and started to question my own likelihood of getting accepted to JHU. I'll start off by saying i have always regarded JHU as one of the top schools in the country, and as a prospective medical student/doctor, have considered the school deeply.

I live in Kentucky, and a fairly poor area of it at that. I attend public school, and have taken all of the most challenging courses offered to me (with a perfect 4.0+ GPA), although they do not begin to compare to many of the classes available to students at better schools. I have taken the ACT one time my sophomore year and got a 30 composite (29 English, 31 Math, 30 Reading, 30 Science). I have also taken the SAT one time earlier this year (currently a junior), and received a 790 Math, 590 Writing, 590 Reading (1970 overall). I'm about to take the ACT again, and am shooting for something in the 34-36 range.

I haven't attended any summer programs or been involved in any college related preparatory courses, although i do intend to attend the Governor's Scholar Program (a statewide program offered to Kentucky juniors) this summer, if accepted of course. I have participated in Track and Cross Country since my Freshman year of high school, and i fare well in both sports.

What i'm mainly wondering is, if JHU Admissions will take into consideration the lack of educational opportunities offered to me in the rural part of Appalachia when looking at my application. Also, if any financial aid would be offered for someone in my particular situation, if i were to get accepted.
