Acceptance Chances to UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD

Hey guys I’m planning on applying this upcoming school year and I’d like to know my chances.
I go to a very competitive school in California, rank 9 in Stem and 298 in the nation. I am a Korean male so affirmative action isn’t going to be on my side. Planning to go for biology major, possibly premed.

I am within the top 9% of the school, though I am not sure specifically where I am. I received a letter saying that I am guaranteed admission to at least one UC (though it could be Merced), which only goes out to the top 9% students.

Sorry for the huge list but I’m pretty worried about admissions to colleges in general. Its very competitive especially at our school. Thank you.

UCSD: Match
UCLA/UCB: High Match

California publics banned affirmative action and regardless, you are considered a ORM not a URM. You are a competitive applicant, so make sure your essays are equally strong as your academics.
ELC eligibility will guarantee if not accepted into your choice UC, you will be accepted (if room is available) at another UC which has been UC Merced these last few years.

Good Luck.

Thanks so much!

You have a good chance. Just write good essays (That aren’t generic and make you stand out in some way) and I think you have a great shot at getting into one or more of those 3 schools.

You’ve got a very good shot at all the UCs. Race plays no role in UC admissions.

You have a great chance that look like what @Gumbymom posted.
