Acceptance Chances

I feel like such a dork posting this, but I'm just kind of anxious about it.

GPA: 3.94
Class Rank: 16/184
SAT: 630 Math, 620 CR, 640 Writing; Took them again a few days ago and I'm expecting a 1300+
Wrote a decent essay.

I had a 4.0 GPA in my freshman and sophomore year taking the required classes in my school. I took all AP classes, history, english, biology, Latin 4, and the highest math my school offered in 11th grade, Trig. My GPA dipped a bit, but I still received all A's and A-'s in my classes except for math, which I got a C. This year, I'm maintaining all A's in AP English, AP Gov, AP Psych, and Journalism, but I still have a B+ in honors Calculus and a B+ in AP Chem.

Will my inherent inability to do well in math hinder my application?
Pitt received my app on September 29th and I'm patiently waiting a response.

Thanks for any help.

definitely in. possibly honors college if you can get 1350+ on the SATs

Thanks for the input! I get a bit worried reading all of these 1500+ SAT score, top 5% of class people worrying.

Those people are just worrying about what their chances are for full tuition scholarships.

Good chances, just get your SAT up though.

I was accepted and it took them a week to review my application and send me a letter. It was extremely quick.

I just got mine today too. Congrats!

Thanks, same to you.

definitely in

If any of you are wondering about scholarships, those letters typically arrive about two weeks after acceptance. Honors College letters too, around the same time. Best of luck!

Also, I wanted to add that all of you who applied to Pitt so early are really smart to have done that. The decent state universities are going to be overrun with applicants this year, and some deserving kids are going to miss out on a seat if they wait too long.

i havent received my decision in the mail yet? is it possible to call in and check what the decision is?
