Acceptance Decisions

I believe it is just after 11 pm in Colorado.

@amottmers Nevermind I thought they were 2 hours ahead of PST.

We never heard. Anyone else in same situation ?

Nothing has changed. I emailed the admissions counselor.

We haven’t heard anything either. Sent an e-mail to the counselor this morning. Hopefully we’ll get a response back today.

Hey everyone. I applied towards the end of December as a transfer to the college of Arts & Nat. Sciences and three days ago my cu-boulder account was updated to “Your application is complete and is being reviewed…”, how long is it typically for transfer students to hear anything regarding acceptance? I got accepted into UCCS but i’m anxiously waiting for a decision from Boulder before I commit.

@amottmers I am OOS also and received the Presidential scholarship. CU-B is very expensive so I will need FA details before I can accept. So far I have only received an “estimated” cost email and update online. Hopefully we hear more definite info later this month, I can accept and move forward with any schools until I review all the cost details and compare

Does one need to fill out the General Scholarship Application to be considered for the automatic scholarships like the Presedential and the Chancellor or is the application just for other available scholarships.

@2021NH That is exactly what we are waiting on too, we did find out you were accepted?

@k_03 no, the scholarship app is not needed for the Chancellor’s (nor, I assume, for the Presidential). I personally know someone who got the Chancellor’s this year without having submitted the scholarship application yet.

But my own D got an extra $1500 departmental scholarship, on top of the Chancellor’s, that I don’t think would have happened without the application. (Not 100% sure, but that’s my impression.) So it’s worth running it up the proverbial flagpole.

Emailed my admissions counselor after I didn’t hear back on the 1st, didn’t get an email back BUT my portal updated today notifying me that I’ve been accepted to the college of arts and sciences, just not Leeds where I applied. Pretty excited as Boulder was one of my top choices, but having to transfer in isn’t ideal for me. For those wondering my stats
Status: Accepted to college of arts and sciences
GPA: 3.0
ACT: 28
Great extracurriculars and a pretty good essay.

@amottmers I was accepted to Leeds on the portal Jan 18th then got Presidential info a day or two later.
I know the CU Scholarship application closes next week, not sure how long before we hear back on those awards.
I hate to put down my deposit if the scholarships and FA don’t work out in my favor but I’m sure good housing is filling up.

Not a fun process

@2021NH So you haven’t heard anything regarding FA yet either. Hope we all hear something soon. sorry i forgot I had already asked you at one point regarding FA.

Congrats to everyone who has gotten in! I think i may be visiting soon (i am from MD), but my only fear is that i am going to fall in love with boulder and then not receive substantial scholarships (I got the Chancellor’s Achievement and applied for all general scholarships).

Application just changed to being re-reviewed again maybe today/yesterday

I applied in late November and got my decision in mid-December!

My son applied EA 11/14 and was admitted on 12/5. OOS with 33 ACT and 3.14 unweighted GPA. Received Chancellor’s Achievement Scholarship ($6,250) and Arts & Humanities Achievement Scholarship ($3,000) a few days after the admit.

@lucky978 have you heard yet? I’ve heard of some people having to call and then admissions realizes that they forgot to submit the decision in the portal.

@caml99 I had a friend who was able to transfer into Leeds from a&s after first semester. Not sure if that interests you or not but It might be good to know!

@chuckiem good luck! I got accepted after being re-reviewed so I’m confident you’ll be hearing soon
