<p>Well I applied to a bunch of other colleges like Duke, Stanford, Harvey Mudd, Carnegie Mellon, Berkeley, and Rensselaer but all of those are still reaches because of my bad reading and writing scores on the SAT.</p>

<p>so, i just called cal poly pomona, and they said i didn't get in there as of their first batch of decisions, so the chances of me getting into cal poly slo for architecture are pretty slim.</p>
<p>so i'm sort of disappointed. well more like REALLY REALLY REALLY bummed out...
i guess all i can do is wait and see.</p>

<p>jack, there are other options, as collegemom points out, the Cuesta program or one like it would be good. I also considered and was accepted in the construction management (architecture option). The thought was to get a BS in a closely related field and then do a 3 year MArch. My dad says life is much less disappointing if you always have lots of options open.</p>

<p>Soccer: Construction Management was at CSU Fresno. Also accepted Pomona and University of Oklahoma, both in Architecture.</p>
<p>Jack: The University of Oklahoma has a pretty good BArch program AND application deadline for fall is APRIL 1, 2008. I had a decision in 30 days from application. it is about $7000 a year more expensive than SLO. Good football team.</p>
