<p>We too are double legacies and until last year were consistent donors. Our oldest and youngest applied to ND nine years apart (last year and eight years earlier) with essentially the same credentials. Our oldest got in but went elsewhere. Our youngest didn’t even get waitlisted. We were very surprised. So much for all this stuff about legacy treatment.</p>
<p>novaparent, now I feel a little better. Our oldest also applied 3 years ago and was waitlisted with significantly lesser credentials than S2 who was rejected this year.</p>
<p>And, if I may ask…are you actually a parent of a Villanova student? Because that’s where rejected S2 is headed next year. I believe it to be a better “fit”, and not just because he gets to blaze his own trail and not just follow in his father’s footsteps.</p>
<p>Never mind…I see from your other posts that you’re likely from northern virginia, based on your knowledge of VA schools…</p>
