Acceptance/denial letters

I have recently applied to ole miss! Does anybody know how long it takes for them to let you know if you got in or not?

Keep checking your application.

My son applied back on July 15 and got accepted on Aug 10. The first notification was in “check application status” than mail letter followed a few weeks later. There has been no notification on OSS scholarship yet even though they have told us he would get tuition paid and OOS fee paid. MSU and Alabama notified us much sooner. Alabama the quickest.

We waiting on the CME acceptance and Honors College.

You always call just to double check. We did that too.

Good luck.

Hahaha wow what a coincidence, i applied to alabama and msu as well. Got into alabama but waiting to hear from msu

Very cool. I have to correct myself: Ole Miss 1st, Alabama 2nd, and than State. What are you studying and where are you from? We are from KC area ( Olathe, Kansas) and son is wants to study mechanical engineering.

Im from massachusetts, im going to study computer science but ive wanted to go south for college my whole life. Alabamas my number 2, while clemsons my number 1

@raven2016, did you guys by any chance visit on July 6? I remember there being someone from Kansas

We actually came to town on the afternoon of July 6th and stayed at the Inn of Ole Miss, which was nice. We toured the campus on July 7 and than headed out to Starkville late afternoon to see MSU and than UA.

What did you think of Ole Miss and where else have you looked?

So you did the tour the day after we did. Son liked Ole Miss, but prefers being in a more urban area than than Oxford. He did like the school, and other than its size he liked the town. I expected the general conservatism of the area to possibly be a problem for him, but it didn’t seem to be. I’m guessing there would be a little culture shock, though. He also visited Temple, which he really liked. Unfortunately, he was only able to get a scholarship for a little more than half tuition. At Ole Miss he’d get tuition +room.

Tough to beat scholarship $$. Same with MSU and Alabama.

S has gotten info on tuition and housing deposits, but no official acceptance yet. He’s an auto admit with auto NMSF scholarship package, but I think he wants to see it in writing.

S got the envelope today. Nothing about scholarships, even though it’s supposed to be automatic.

My son received his first" scholarship package" letter last Saturday. OOS fee, tuition, Holmes Scholarship, and Technology Scholarship. Hopefully some others will follow. The more competitive scholarships offered won’t be until Jan/Feb, I believe. So you’ll be getting a notification in the mail soon. I think it all depends on when you applied.

I recommend tracking your application online. That’s what I did and I found out I was accepted nine days later. Ole Miss has rolling admissions so if you haven’t heard back after six weeks I would call admissions to make sure they received everything that’s required. Good luck!
