Acceptance/Fin Aid at UMichigan- Rolling

Hey guys,

Since umich is rolling, if I apply in September and receive an acceptance hopefully in November, when should I submit my FAFSA and other financial aid info..? Do I get the aid package by then, PLUS when to I have to confirm my admission by considering they go on a rolling basis..? These two questions boggle my mind so I could use some help...
thanks

I believe the FAFSA needs to be filled out using the latest income information for your family, which suggests you'd need to wait until after january 1.

U-M is like mostl other colleges--May 1 is the deadline for accepting their offer of admission. You're welcome to send a deposit before then, if you have made up your mind, but you have no obligation to.

Your aid package won't come until the spring. D didn't hear about hers until April as I recall. She passed the academic portion of her admission in December, the audition admission was received in early February. (She's in the Music Department.)

If you wait until May 1 to send in the deposit you will have no chance at getting in the classes you need. I'd recommend risking the $200.
