acceptance gifts?

ok this is stupid but i heard that colleges give you little gifts with your acceptance letter? like t-shirts or confetti haha how cute! does rice do this?

I don't know the answer, but even if they don't, you'll get plenty of free stuff in college. I know a freshman at Duke who's gotten like 15 free tshirts so far. I'm sure that happens at other colleges as well.

we didnt get anything exciting with ED acceptance letters. there was a nice folder though...

For me, the acceptance letter itself is a gift...

No gifts, but DD and DS have lots and lots of free t-shirts from Rice events. Lucky me, I get the ones they no longer need - although some are a little risque for an old lady like me to wear! ;)

lol anxiousmom, have you seen the NOD shirts from this year? They're too risque for ANYONE to wear outside the hedges.

Yeah, I have a quite a few shirts that I can't wear home, or anywhere outside of rice, really.

I don't think Rice sent a gift with acceptance, but I don't really remember.

Nope you receive nothing (well I received nothing).

You just get a nice acceptance letter and a nice financial package letter

You get plenty of free stuff during O-Week, AFTER you choose to attend.

How about Owl Days?

You get a free t-shirt at Owl Days (hopefully with my design on it).

Without thinking, I wore my Screw Yer Roommate shirt when visiting my high school. That was a mistake…
