<p>however long it takes regular mail to travel from Cambridge to your house, plus a day or two for it to clear the mail room, plus weekends. Harvard doesn't need to know until May 1 after all.</p>

<p>Three years ago we had the big envelope in the mailbox before the email was received (we're in MA). She was checking the email at school and we already knew at home because our mail is delivered around 11:30AM. She didn't receive the email until around 1:00. Those emails can take hours!!!!! <p>For EA, I received my letter about two days after my email. Of course, with the volume of people applying RD it may be completely different for you. Actually, I wouldn't have had much suspense if I had waited for the letter. The piece of paper inside the enveloped was tilted to the extend that not only my name and address were visible through the window, but also the words "I am delighted..."</p>
