Acceptance into the University Fellows Program

Hey,

Ok, well I started looking at UA when I heard about their overly generous national merit scholarships and have become extremely impressed with their honors program. However, I would really like to be accepted into the University Fellows Program (which is hard for anyone to gain admittance into). Anyway does anyone know what type of things they look for when you apply for the Fellows Program and what percentage of these applicants that they accept?

Thanks,
RObbie

Hey Robbie,
Coincidence. My name is Robbie too. I don't know alot about the program other than that it is incredibly competitive (so the caliber of students are superb, top of the class, big time leaders, and service oriented) and the scholarships are amazing.
But I can tell you the deadline for application to the University Fellows program is day after tomorrow. So. If you want the application I can forward you the email they sent me. Just PM me with your email.

Also Robbie.

This is what I know...they usually have around 400-500 applicants, which are by invitation or if you have a 32 ACT and 3.8 and apply to the Honors Program by December 1 will automatically be sent an application. Each high school can nominate 1 student if you don't meet the requirements. The deadline on the application we had was Dec. 12, but don't know how firm that is. They usually select 40-50 per year. There is alot of information on the honor.ua.edu website. Hope this helps.
