Hi! So I applied early for Yale, which means a letter will be coming in just a few weeks, so I'm getting nervous. If anyone was accepted, does the letter come in a big bulky envelope (where it's obvious you got in) or does it just look like a regular old envelope? Can you tell rejection and acceptance letters apart just from the envelope (size, thickness, etc)? I don't want the fun (or sadness) spoiled by the envelope. haha. Thanks!

If you check the status of your application on-line, and you have been deferred or rejected, Yale will not mail you a letter by post. If you are accepted, and check your status on-line, Yale will send you a “fat” envelope which measures about 11" X 9".

You check your status on-line (accept/deferred/reject). Thus it will be a total surprise!! Good luck!
