Acceptance Letter Question???

Will the acceptance letter through the mail have any inofrmation on whether or not you received any merit scholarship money or any scholarships at all?...if not, how do you find out if you received any?

My D received her merit scholarship with her acceptance letter. I don't know when need-based aid is decided.

to anyone who received merit:

what were your SATs and/or GPA?

just wondering...

The minimum for merit in the past has appeared to be SAT 2100 and 3.8 UW. Merit is reserved for the top 20%+ of GW admitted students.

S had >2200 SAT, but only 3.4 GPA & did not get any merit aid, so they obviously take both into account.

2060 and 4.0 UW was good enough last year. Looking at the above post makes me wonder if there may be other variables also.

Yeah that definitely isn't the right estimate, because there have been people get merit aid with less than both of those requirements. 33 and 3.7 UW, 4.6 W at the top ranked school east of the Mississippi. Kthx GW....

I received merit with a 2090 superscore SAT, 30 ACT, and 4.5 weighted GPA

I received merit (10k/year) with 27 ACT, 4.2 GPA weighed, I'm guessing 3.4 unweighed.

I believe I got aid for my extracurriculars though.
