Acceptance letter - thick or thin?

This may be a stupid question, but for EA, is the acceptance letter in a thin envelope or a thick one?

two years ago acceptances came in 8x11 folders. so the envelope was big and thick. i think i defferal/rejection looked like any other letter

Last year, my son's EA acceptance came in a 9 x 12 envelope. In addition to the actual letter, there was a "Welcome to Boston College" folder that contained info about Admitted Students Day, general info about the school, and instructions on how to log into Agora and accept the admissions offer.

do they post acceptances online, or do they first announce it through mail. it would seem easy for them to do it online since we all have agora accounts already

Unless BC changed its policy this year, decisions come only by snail mail.

""Unless BC changed its policy this year, decisions come only by snail mail.""

Yes, worried_mom. From the BC website:

""Early Action candidates must submit all credentials by the postmark deadline of November 1. The Admission Committee will communicate decisions no later than December 25. Decisions will not be communicated over the phone or via e-mail. ""

It seems other colleges are sometimes using email to notify in advance of the snail mail arrival, but even those other schools seem to only be doing it for RD. Nobody my sis applied to or looked at seems to do email for ED/EA -- those are still all done the old school way (no pun intended).
