Quick question, it seems some admits received emails and others received the letter yesterday? Did anyone receive both? Or was it one or another??Why do you think they sent the emails out?? Did two batches of acceptances get mailed out on Saturday…early/late? or did one batch go out on Monday? Nervous and waiting. Fred

In CT, my son received both the email yesterday around 5:00pm and the envelop in the mail. Good luck to all.

@Gencat781… I did not apply for honors program… only early admission. Wait and see what comes in the mail. My personal observation is that a lot of schools are doing more deferrals this year. My guidance counselor said it may be due to all the problems with the common app. I had a few deferrals that I thought would have been slam dunks… and I got into a few schools that I had considered reach schools. This year seems to be an anomaly.

Spoke to Helena in admissions this morning. Sounds as if all acceptances received emails unless there was a “technical” glitch. Letters were sent out in waves. Saturday, yesterday, and today. Acceptances, more acceptances, and defers and denials…

@FredSanford

Did admissions say if the emails were in waves too? Doesn’t sound like they are but they could be.

received letter today in md. received presidential scholarship of $22,000 a year

D just received acceptance letter in the mail. She did not receive any email prior to this.

Congratulations to Tracki34 on receiving a Presidential Scholarship. Did anyone else also receive notifications on merit aid? I was under the impression that merit aid would not be announced until Feb.15.

@Tracki34

Congrats!! That’s incredible!

Did you ever receive any type of email before receiving the letter?

I’m in PA and got an email but no letter. My classmate got her acceptance yesterday though.

@gencat781 thank you!! yes, I did receive an email saying a “big envelope” was coming

adam219 - My son was awarded a merit scholarship along with his acceptance in the mail today. He’s very excited! We were surprised as we were expecting to wait until 2/15 to hear about merit aid.

Recieved acceptance and 19k merit in md today!

Congrats to all accepted and those receiving merit awards!! Still no envelope today in NJ, but since daughter received an email, we are patiently waiting for our good news…hope it includes a merit award for daughter, too!!

Hmmm…it’s interesting that after calling the admissions office, they told me that ONLY letters were sent by mail and no emails implying admission were sent. And…about 3 hours ago, they posted on Facebook and twitter that “…all admission decisions are delivered in writing (by mail). Letters were posted yesterday.”

My D received the email yesterday but nothing in the mail yet - we are in Mass. Hopefully we’ll hear tomorrow. Congrats on all who have been accepted!

@rydert same here! In Mass, received email, no letter yet.

Email yesterday… welcome packet today. I am in Massachusetts. Glad mail was delivered late in the day. Probably allowed enough time to have the package make it today.

My s from NJ got acceptance letter and merit money today. All in one envelope. Congrats to all who are in.
