Acceptance Letters? Already?

Aininor I did apply for fin aid, and received a likely.

Hey guys, I didn't get a likely letter but I did get that email for financial aid (even though I am not applying for financial aid).

Congratulations to everyone who got a likely letter, that is wonderful news, and you have good reason to be happy!

I'm Canadian and got a likely letter, and asked for aid. However, I decided not to apply recently XD
I figure Canadians and Mexicans are favored over other internationals because their aid is need-blind for Canadians and Mexicans as well as Americans.

Congrat to all who got likely!
Canadian/international, please post youe stats and when you got it. Many Thx

Congratz to everyone!

So everyone agrees that there were only 100~ likelies sent out?

Why does it seem like there were a lot more Columbia likelies than HYSMP ones?

Because afaik H and P haven’t sent anything out yet, and I’m not sure about Yale but it seems like they sent out hardly anything.

Although the number is probably higher than 100

Anyone else get a phone call? Columbia called me this afternoon but I missed it. I kind of hope they’ll call again since the girl only left the generic admissions office phone number/email lol.

I got a call too… like ten minutes ago. Does anyone really sit by the phone with questions waiting for some student at the prospective school to call them? Haha, I know I don’t, but it’s still a nice gesture.

did you talk with the student? I’m thinking about calling back and seeing if I can reach a student since I haven’t had an interview and I have a lot of questions

i got a phone call just a few minutes ago. i asked a few questions. the student seemed really nice and enthusiastic.

I got a phone call half an hour ago too. I asked a bunch of random questions, and the student was very nice and knowledgeable.

not really an interview is it? I mean, it went well, but it’s nice to know when you are being evaluated. I’m guessing it’s more to convince you that Columbia is a good fit.

^ it’s not evaluative, it’s recruitment :P

Did those of you that received phone calls also get likely letters?

Everyone who got a call got a likely, I’m pretty certain

I don’t know if everyone who got a likely got a call though. I don’t believe I got a call, but I got a likely.

Yeah, I got a likely letter a couple days ago and got a call just the next day. Missed it, haha. But I’m pretty sure its just recruitment at this point.

ya, lol. we’ll see. :D

I got a likely letter today and I didn’t even get contacted for an interview xD
How many of these get sent out?

^ congrats! Did you apply to CC or SEAS?
