Acceptance letters are mailed!

I got mine today!

S got a Big envelope today…Dang, another 3 hours until he walks in the door…
We’re in Northern Cal…

Congratulations to all! Son was accepted into engineering. Mom is crying. So proud!

Accepted, but does anybody know when any notification of scholarships (General ones that don’t need an application) come?

Son got accepted today – we’re all thrilled! (Northern Virginia/Washington, DC)

Hooray! My daughter, too! And she got a nice comment about the “family tradition”.

Accepted from CT; Dean commented on S2’s leadership accomplishments.

Congratulations to all of you! I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for the scholarship letters that come out next month.

the dean actually signed mine, and underlined congratulations and put a ! above it, ha.

I got accepted too!

The dean signed mine. Under the community service portion of the letter, he underlined the word “Impressive” twice with an exclamation point at the top. and he wrote great work.

that was so cool.

To Tmac18: Scholarship notifications come in early April after scholarship test competitions are completed. Hint for everyone, when my son got his scholarship/FA package he was offered $15,000.00 merit scholarship once he commited we were given $22,000.00. So it seems they redistribute the amount not used by those that are not attending.

I got my letter!!! I’m from PA…now I need to decide which college to go to out of my top three choices.

Actually, I think you will hear about the Ignatius and Magis much earlier than April. In about three weeks or so probably, going by two years ago with my older daughter.
As newsdrms points out, though, that wouldn’t be your final package, especially if you applied for FA.

dbwes & newsdrms, how does the Feb aid package (Ignatius + Magis) differ from the “final” package? If I made the tragic mistake of saving some money and thus have an EFC that’s absurdly high and expect no need-based aid, there’s really not going to be much of a “final” package, is there? I mean, our Ignatius + Magis will not increase after Feb, will it?

Also, we have no plans to apply for additional scholarships or to compete in the Feb exams. Son’s app for admission is singular attempt for merit aid.

I got my acceptance letter yesterday in the mail…i was really shoked tht i got in since i figured that i wasnt gonna get into to marquette

I got my acceptance letter yesterday in the mail.
I am in Arizona.
I plan on going to MSU-but was excited to be accepted at Marquette.

beastman, my son’s total increase was on both Ingatius & Magis like two weeks after he committed. So in effect it could increase but I don’t know how they make the decision.

Yeah, I saw somewhere on the website that we will be notified of the general scholarships within three weeks. That’s good, because I’m down to three schools now, and cost is a major issue.

Big envelope? Little envelope? D called and was told her envelope was mailed last Friday, but it’s not here yet…

She got a postcard about the scholarship day in today’s mail, though. We’re staring at it wondering if it’s a good sign or bad sign.

Big envelope.
