Has anyone who has gotten accepted so far received their letters in the mail? D was accepted last Friday and we are right in town so we were curious whether anyone has received theirs yet.

Umm, I just got accepted today; however, was told that letters usually follow sometime between 7 and 10 business days thereafter. So, you should receive yours between next Wednesday and Friday, possibly sooner. I will probably get mine between September 22 and September 25, also possibly sooner. Congrats on your daughter, it's great news :)

Congrat to you too Frank! It is exciting getting the news.

My son was accepted on Sept. 2nd and received his letter very quickly, on Sept. 6th. Notification of merit based scholarship offers are mailed 3 weeks after you receive your online acceptance.

Thanks for the information FL317. I appreciate that, so with that mind, you should have received your letter very soon, same with myself. That's awesome news, I'm going to apply for Financial Aid tomorrow and for housing as soon as its posted on myUCF. I was told that I need to get my immunization records done A.S.A.P as well. This is SOOOOOO exciting, I can't wait. Orlando should be more fun than Tampa :)

speaking of which does anyone know when fall 2009 housing goes up on myucf?

I'm a freshman this year and I want to say it opened toward the end of December? Maybe beginning of January...

Either way, not for awhile. It'll say on MyUCF.

congrats you guys! UCF is amazing, I've only been here 3 weeks and I love it.

From what I saw posted here from last year, the housing application opened around December 3rd.

Yeah, tzais01 is right. I'm mixing dates.

It coincides nicely with the FSU acceptance date which is 12/3. The UCF housing deposit is heftly at 200 or 250 and you lose $100 if you don't go but notify them by May 1st.

Infeatheredeyes, it's nice you're still so upbeat even having your car getting stolen and such.

Yeah...

I know if it had happened while I was at home, I'd be depressed for ages.

But here there's just so much good happening that I can't dwell on it. I think I'd also be a little more affected if I actually had everyday use out of my car here.

Besides, just because I'm upbeat doesn't mean I'm not sending dirty karma thoughts to the lovely fellows who did it. :)

The letter came today. Yeah! So for those getting accepted, the letter was postmarked 7 days after the website status showed accepted. The letter got here the next day as we are within 20 miles of the campus.

Are these summer acceptances or Fall 2009?

Ours was summer. It seems like they are doing Spring, Summer and Fall now.

mine was for fall 2009, so from what i've seen its mostly summer/fall right now

Got in for Fall 2009 today. Letter in the mail should be here soon!

I just got my acceptance letter in today's mail :)

Congrats to everyone! Out of all the schools D originally had on her list, which is now down to 8, this is her #1 choice.

The only problem is she is OOS and refuses to apply to summer.

I hope some of your good luck rubs off on her!

I would recommend to apply for Summer. With budget cuts going on in Florida and possibly throughout our nation, it will be very hard to get in. I wanted to apply for Fall, but then realized that if I applied for Spring, I should be OK since it's not as busy as a Semester as Fall would be.
