I applied early action and got into Liberal Arts Honors, Plan II and Environmental Science (program of 50). Last person not in the top 9% as of my junior year. I found out about Environmental Science and Liberal Arts in December and Plan II last week.

Ahhh so nervous, did they email you when your status changed or should I just keep checking my status? Btw I know it is technically not rolling admissions but when did you turn in your apps (if you have a decision now)

Congrats to everyone that’s gotten in! :)

I’m OOS as well - I study in Hong Kong.
No letter yet.

I got my acceptance letter earlier this month and also got into plan II honors

4/28 (about 14%)
1850 SAT (1290 CR+M)
29 ACT

First of, congratulations jamaicanaggie16! What a great accomplishment! I have similar stats to you except my school doesn’t rank and my ACT was a 30. Did you have any other qualities that you think might have pushed them to accept you? Such as GPA, Ec’s etc. Than ks for the help in advance!

He must really have something going for him there. I had friends with similar numbers that were outright rejected to UT, let alone Plan II.

I’ll wager that Jamaica had awesome essays and recommendations.

I’m class president (since junior year, before that I was vice president) and I am a part of a school teen board
I’m a part of a church organization
did a mission trip

I didn’t have a recommendation letter but I think that my essays were pretty good.
Other than that I just had my application.
I guess I just got in on merit

Oh and I’m a girl

Were you in state or out of state?

IIRC, Plan II requires teachers to fill out online recommendation letters (or at least they did 3 years ago).

I am instate. Plan II does not require recommendation letters anymore. Just one or two short essays from what I remember from the application

I received my acceptance letter on Jan. 30th, but it was dated the 27th. Accepted for fine arts, and received a letter from the college of fine arts a few days ago with information for accepted freshmen.

so when should I expect to hear from admissions if im in state, but from a private school that doesn’t rank? this whole “not knowing” nonsense is driving me crazy!

I’m in a private school that doesn’t rank too, tylerneely
We’re supposed to hear back by mid-February, I believe. Just a few weeks…so nerve wracking!

Kiddo got the letter yeaterday. Although we knew she was accepted a week earlier online - 1/28. Thank goodness we knew online, because the letter was SKINNY! Not the usual letter you get when you are accepted to a university. In fact, I had to read it slowly to make sure.

Frankly, I am very disappointed in the UT admissions process. Estatic she got in, but either do an email notification followed with the big package or just send the big package.

Best of Luck to everyone still waiting.

Do you mind sharing what college your daughter was admitted to? We’re still waiting for McCombs…

Fine Arts - She was accepted to COFA back in December, but we had to wait for the University acceptance as well.

Excellent! Congratulations to her!

I am waiting on pins and needles, really want to be a Longhorn!
