It’s my junior year and at the moment I’m only in like the top 20% or so of my class with like a 3.77 gpa… Hope to bring that up by the end of this year but I mean Plano school so… Good luck to me! I have a really good sat however, great act, great extra curriculars, and take all ap and honors classes… Can anyone tell me my chances with this basic information… Also if I were to bump up my gpa/rank by senior year would UT look at that as well?

At least I’m assuming top 20 since like top 14 is like a 3.9 at my school… Wayyyy too competitive!!!

I can get up to about top 15% by the end of junior year assuming that everyone else stays exactly where they are and don’t mve up or down in rank

You should probably try harder, since people drop out and makes it harder to be in a higher percent, even though your rank goes up

@PoorBrokeDad: I agree with your sentiment about email and small letter in the mail. I had heard things about UT sending out huge, obnoxious packages for acceptances which proclaimed that their acceptance was ‘The Big One’. I was disappointed to see just a small envelop. Not to mention, mine was all crinkled from being exposed to water…

Hey guys! I was accepted today and was in the top 18% of my class. (College of Fine Arts, by the way.)

I am worried because I am not top 9% and applied “Undeclared” I hope it works out,if not I will chose between TCU or Baylor.

Mezzo18, Congratulations! How were you notified?

hey Mezzo18, did you have high test scores?

kjb, thanks! I got an email from the BSoM telling me I’d passed the audition process, and to check online for my decision from the university itself. An “official” letter is supposed to come by post sometime soon.

7flatbank, my test scores were kind of weird. Overall I was average (ACT 25) - the individual scores themselves were 34 (reading), 35 (writing), 16 (math) and 19 (science). I had very strong essays, though, so I think the combination of those and my reading/writing test scores definitely compensated for my poor math/science marks and non-8% status.

Did you guys apply for housing yet?
If yes, did you apply before or after being admitted?

Okay, quick question that some people might think is dumb- If I got on the wait list for BSoM, does that mean I got in to the University? The email I got doesn’t really make it clear. Is anyone else in the same situation??

Heard that all decisions all coming within the next two weeks!!!

I am hopeful!!!

Haven’t heard anything yet… and to be quite honest, I’m not feeling very confident…
Guess we’ll see within the next two weeks

The big envelope is reserved for honors programs.

My friend got the automatic admission but she has not gotten accepted into her major. :(

I got accepted, non 8%!

Zafrina, what major?

College of Fine Arts :)

She applied to McCombs D:

Yeah, all my non top 9% COFA friends have been accepted/rejected already. I think they’ve been doing all their acceptances first. I’m thinking that if you applied to Liberal Arts or CNS, you’ll hear back around the end of this week or sometime next week. When I called, they told me for COLA I should hear back by the end of this week. Should’ve asked about Social Work! gahh this wait is killing me

Has anyone heard from the College of Education yet?
