Acceptance letters-non 8%

4 people from my son’s school applied and none have heard yet. I called yesterday and spoke to a very nice lady, but all she could tell me is “keep checking online”. My son’s admissions counselor never responded to us, so I gave up on him. If we don’t hear anything by next Monday, I am going to cancel our flights. : (

Keeping fingers crossed!

Congrats to your daughter on UF!

Good luck to your son! We still have her top choices to hear from. Besides Texas, she applied to Syracuse/Newhouse, Northwestern/Medill, George Washington/School of Media and Public Affairs, and UMiami/School of Communications. In addition to Florida, she has been accepted at Penn St, Maryland, Wisconsin, Indiana, Elon, and Ithaca/Park School of Communications. Waiting for decisions on honors and scholars programs from some of these. Rejected from UNC Chapel Hill. That one is tough coming from our neck of the woods!!

I remember after submitting my application I could have sworn they said we would know our application status by mid-Feb. I called yesterday and the lady on the phone said the latest March 1, I am really mad. I submitted my application end of Octocber…

I got mine this morning (Petroleum Engineering). 12.5%… But it will be ~14% at the end.

Accepted OOS to School of Communications for Advertising
GPA: 3.5 unweighted. Weighted about two grade levels higher I’ve been told. I also have taken many college courses with a 4.0 gpa, 2 AP classes, and every other class I’ve ever taken was an honors course
ACT: 31
Extracurriculars: i do fanfiction; I’ve won a bunch of creative writing awards, enviscileague (which is ranked number 2 in the nation but I’m pretty sure it’s now number 1), choir, piano, flute, etc.
I also go to the number one high school in the nation which probably helped.

But omg I still can’t believe I got in! This is the best day of my life.

I am non top 8% and I am OOS (OHIO) - ACCEPTED! I didn’t get into my preferred major (bio) so they placed me in the School of Undergraduate Studies as “undeclared”.
My test scores weren’t the best and my gpa was acceptable but I come from a very prestigious high school (Western Reserve Academy) and my work at the Cleveland Clinic was most likely crucial.
If anyone has any questions just hit me up!
Good Luck!!
