<p>Well, it didn’t help him that much because it was only a statutory rape. He was 21 the girl was 15. Usually a full on sexual assault is a hook, statutory rape is more of a tipping factor. It also helps if the victim was white.</p>

<p>sorry OP, let me, for one, give you the GOOD face of berkeley with my reply.</p>

<p>ahem.</p>

<p>okay so basically for ECs i didn’t do too much but i was president of my contemporary philosophy club in my high school. we mainly did philosophers from the very end of the 20th century. fun stuff.
i also was an exec officer in a newly formed business club at my HS where we profiled about 90 different companies and had a case competition at the end of the year where my team won first place and a check for $1,090 for our club! now THAT was an accomplishment!</p>

<p>anyway, just some basic stats, not gna lie, pretty legit:</p>

<p>UC GPA 4.90
SAT II Math 790
SAT II English 790
SAT I: 2390</p>

<p>I applied as a classics major/history minor (major focus: Roman Republic in the 90sBC, minor focus: cultural shifts between 1890s and 1990s)</p>

<p>but my best attribute by far was definitely my essay. i had an essay about my OCD and how it affected my academic life. (back then i was very obsessed with “90” so i went out of my way to make things with 90s, but the meds have helped a lot and its hardly a big deal for me anymore…except my username… that “1” in “91” just kills me…)</p>

<p>anyway, from stalking your previous posts and stats, i’d say you have about a 9 in 10 chance of getting in. </p>

<p>@meteman, I am indeed an Urban Renaissance Man. And I actually didn’t get any scholarships for my EC, surprising I know. </p>

<p>Because crowslayer just completely verbally lambasted us, here are my real stats from what I remember:</p>

<p>UW GPA: 3.94
W GPA: 4.2
SAT I: 2110
SAT II Bio (E): 750
SAT II Math II: 710
EC: Key Club, Track, Cross Country
Essay: How having scoliosis changed my view on what others think about me. The other one was about my track team being like a family. </p>

<p>I went to a competitive high school (even though we had terrible test scores overall, a school of 3500+ can be considered competitive at the top). Don’t ask me how I got in because I don’t know.</p>
