Acceptance Letters ?!

I applied to John Jay in early November and I still haven’t received anything!!! I am freaking out. When I call the hotline it says a decision has been made and a letter will be sent within two weeks… it’s been about two months now!

John Jay Applicant here! Board seems to be dead imo… nobody is saying anything. I hope I get in im an out of state student with a 3.3 GPA and hoping they’ll accept me…

Whats your stats/etc? Did you get any scholarships. Hoping someone else can tell us when we will see our status I e-mailed john jay asking them

I’m not a John Jay applicant (my preference is Hunter College). I got my acceptance e-mail from Brooklyn College about two days ago. It went on to say the other CUNY schools I applied to had reached a decision and would contact me shortly. It shouldn’t take long! I guess now we just have to play the waiting game.

Thanks for at-least providing insight, seems like the CUNY system board is dead here… hopefully shortly means by the end of this week. I hope I’ll be able to get in…

Did you only apply to John Jay or did you spread your choices out among all the CUNY schools?

The only college I applied to in New York/CUNY system was John Jay

They should probably be coming soonish. I applied to 3 CUNYs: Baruch, Hunter, and Queens. I received an Email from Baruch yesterday but nothing else since then.

Thanks for the information! Hopefully that means the rest of the CUNY’s will come out this week… heres to hoping everyone gets in!

I applied to Hunter and Queens as well! Fingers crossed for Hunter. Do any of you know about Brooklyn’s SEEK Program? I just got an e-mail claiming I was being considered as a potential student for the program, but I’m not too well versed in what it actually entails.

No idea… I’m hoping John Jay will send an e-mail out soon… I’m surprised this thread got some new people in it the CUNY board is relatively dead over here haha

@ManhattanDarling, SEEK (to my knowledge) is an assistance program that provides financial and educational accommodations. I got the same e-mail, and after a few hours later, I was told to disregard the email. This made sense because I wouldn’t qualify for SEEK b/c I’m from a rather wealthy town and do not need accommodations.

And yeh, the board is always dead with CUNY talk.

I got the same e-mail that told me to disregard the last one regarding SEEK … not too impressed now, to be honest. Their organizational skills seem to be a bit lacking.

Would it be too late to add more cuny schools on the application? im freaking out right now because i only applied to john jay, hunter, and baruch, which are the most competitive ones.

Interesting about SEEK… never heard of it before. And I’m not really sure mazel… do you know what average GPA John Jay accepts… hoping I have a chance to be accepted (out of state student)

It’s pretty low, my friend goes there and he had a 75 gpa

Sounds good, looks like I have a great chance to get in there. Hope you and everyone gets into the school they want!

Update got this email back from a question I asked:

Hello,

Thank you for your recent email.

I would estimate that you should receive your admission decision via email or letter in the mail by the end of this month. If you still havent received it by the beginning of March, do contact us.

Should you require further assistance or information, contact us again via email at
aonline@cuny.edu.

Just got the Email from Queens today.

Nice… hoping for john jay’s soon
